AMY KONISHI RDH
Dental Hygiene Manager

Amy has been a hygienist for 16 years and comes from a dental family. She is a graduate of Harper College’s dental hygiene program., where she was president of her class — selected as one of three students to the hygiene honor society and received the Golden Scaler award given to the top dental hygiene student in the class. Dental hygiene is a second career for Amy. She graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and management Sciences. After six years in management consulting Amy made the decision to pursue her current career. After two years at Westend on a part time basis, Amy became the head of the Westend Dental Hygiene department in April of 1999. Setting hygiene department protocols and training our hygiene staff are part of her responsibilities as well as direct patient care. Natives of the Chicago area, Amy and her husband Jim enjoy travel, working out and experiencing all this wonderful city has to offer.

BERNADETTE UY RDH

After a year of nursing school at Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan, Bernadette transferred to Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan and graduated from dental hygiene school in 2001. Relocating to Chicago, Bernadette joined Westend Dental in 2002. She enjoys being part of a great team and attends continuing education seminars and conventions to keep up on the latest technology, research and progressive care. Bernadette loves to run, enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her friends, and visiting her family.

MEGAN DEWALT RDH

Megan received a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality from Eastern Illinois University, as well as an Associates degree of Applied Sciences in Dental Hygiene from Harper College. She has been part of the Westend Dental team since 2007. Megan is married and enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband. She loves taking advantage of everything the city has to offer.

MEGAN POST RDH

Megan graduated from the Kennedy-King dental hygiene program here in Chicago, and also received a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. After moving to Chicago, Megan became a patient at Westend Dental and joined the team in 2009. Outside of the office, Megan enjoys meeting new people, trying the latest restaurant in Chicago, and travelling essentially all over the place. Friends and family are a very dear part of Megan's life. She also has a passion for music and enjoys going to a variety of concerts.

GINNY HANOVER RDH

Ginny obtained her Bachelors degree in Community Health Promotion from Eastern Illinois University as well as an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Harper College. Originally from Mt. Prospect, Ginny recently moved to the Lincoln Park area of Chicago and enjoys all the city has to offer. Outside the office, Ginny can be found spending time with friends and family, cooking or going to concerts.
